Host Brock Yordy this week takes a question about mud weight in water well projects. What is an acceptable weight to finish a well (and not give you grief in development)? It’s Ask Brock 171.
“My rule of thumb starts with, I don’t want to go beyond 8.8 pounds per gallon,” Yordy says. “When we hit 8.8 pounds per gallon, that’s when the bell goes off and we go, ‘Hey, we need to do something.’ ”
