Cabo Drilling Corp., North Vancouver, British Columbia, and Atlantic Canada-based Dawn-Works Inc., have announced the signing of an Alliance Agreement whereby the parties will work together to seek out drilling service contracts with exploration and mining companies within Canada’s Labrador region.

As part of the deal, Dawn-Works has agreed that Cabo Drilling will be the exclusive supplier of drilling services to mining companies with which Dawn-Works has bidding opportunities.

“We are very pleased to have entered into this business relationship with Dawn-Works Inc.,” states John Versfelt, president and CEO of Cabo Drilling Corp. “This Alliance Agreement, along with the previous agreements signed with Nunacor Inc. and Torngat Services Ltd., places Cabo Drilling in a position to not only expand its drilling services market, but to also provide employment and training opportunities to its alliance partners. We look forward to working with all involved to create a favorable working environment and build strong, lasting relationships.”

“As a leading global provider of drilling services, Cabo Drilling is the ideal partner to help spearhead our expansion into the Atlantic Region,” says David Chaulk, president at Dawn-Works Inc. “We look forward to working hand-in-hand with Cabo Drilling to bring economic and environmental benefits to the Atlantic Region.”

Jim Maloney, Dawn-Works vice president, says, “The complementary nature of Dawn-Works Inc. and Cabo Drilling’s expertise will drive new insights, solutions and efficiencies to further advance the two companies. We have a shared vision to create local resources that deliver valuable and cost-effective solutions to the region that will increase economic participation and open up new opportunities to the Aboriginal people. We are very excited about the training and employment opportunities this new relationship promises.”
