Used for sampling ground water from wells or direct-push tooling, Miniature Bladder Pumps from AMS Inc. operate on the squeeze principle, whereby water is drawn into the pump by hydrostatic pressure and contained within a fluoropolymer bladder. Air under pressure compresses the bladder to lift the contained water out of the pump and through tubing that connects it to the surface. Designed for low-flow ground water sampling, these bladder pumps come in five stainless steel and two plastic-bodied models, and all have a thin-wall TFE fluoropolymer bladder.  Plastic models are available for use in situations where stainless steel may not be the material of choice.
