WEG Electric Motors Corp. has redesigned its 56-frame ODP motor, making it lighter and more corrosion resistant. Features of the new design include an improved opposite drive end-shield, a new autophoretic coating to protect against corrosion, and in some frame sizes, an increased bearing size to give better load carrying capability. Also, new cast aluminum terminal boxes (where applicable) offer weight reduction for increased maneuverability. WEG Electric Motors Corp.
