It's Jubilee time and that means drillers from all across the United States are heading for Myrtle Beach, S.C., for the South Atlantic Well Drillers Jubilee, held July 27-30.
The Jubilee began in 1955. In the early years, it primarily was a social occasion with just a few exhibits. Gradually, however, the Jubilee evolved into a first-class industry event that caters to well drillers and their families. In spite of major changes, the founders of the Jubilee were determined to maintain the casual, beach-side, family-oriented atmosphere, and that tradition is still firmly in place. In keeping with that desire, the Jubilee continues with the traditional. Participants can always look forward to the Monday night free "picnic" (although it's now inside), a horseshoe tournament and a golf outing. In addition, Amtrol and Noland provide breakfast for everyone on Monday and Tuesday just before the trade show opens.
