Flow assurance is now a mature and well recognised discipline that contributes value to field development and towards achieving operational excellence. Flow assurance is recognised as a key driver in determining field architecture and can influence cost and schedule. Achieving excellence in flow assurance requires the involvement of many disciplines and parties, having good quality data, understanding fluid behaviour and the ability to predict various behaviours with confidence.
