EXPERIENCED GEOTECHNICAL MECHANIC

Helical Drilling, Inc. is a Geotechnical Design Build firm that specializes in Ground Improvement and is comprised of Geotechnical Engineers, Construction Managers and Field Crews, all under one roof. Helical is looking for an Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic who is experienced in the Heavy Equipment Repair and Electronic Troubleshooting. This is a hand’s on position that will be based in Londonderry NH, but candidate must be available to travel to job sites throughout the New England Area. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience with diesel and small engines. Ideally know how to work on, Duro Rigs and Micro Rigs, as well as the ability to trouble shoot and provide maintenance. You must have the ability to analyze and manage multiple projects. Our candidate is someone who would be able to arrive on a job site and get an rig running with a volt meter, screwdriver and a few other misc items, then go to a meeting and only having to wash their hands. Also has to have good people skills and able to ask lots of questions and not make assumptions. Must be highly organized and computer savvy with some electronic schooling.

Duties/Requirements:
• Ability and Knowledge to safely utilize various mobile equipment, hand and electric tools
• Ability to work independently in performing repairs and maintenance, strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics and electronics
• Experience on Micro Rigs and or Duro Rigs (Preferred)
• Ability to rebuild engines • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly
• Must have analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems
• Ability to manage multiple task simultaneously
• Maintain service records as needed
• Other duties as required such as welding and fabricating, etc.
• Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic, attitude, professional demeanor is required.
• High interest to work effectively as part of a team to accomplish project goals
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather • Able to work overtime and travel with possible overnight stays
• Must have reliable vehicle and Valid Driver’s License. CDL (Preferred)
• At least 5- 10 years of experience as a Mechanic in a fast paced construction company
• OSHA 10, but 30 (Preferred)
• High School Diploma/electrical schooling
