Liebherr Cutter Goes to Work on Munich Slurry Wall Project
Installing Second Core Line between Deutsche Bahn Stations
Construction equipment manufacturer Liebherr recently put its LSC 8-18 L to work on a second core line for the Deutsche Bahn between the stations Laim and Leuchtenbergring in Munich. The joint venture VE 41, comprising Implenia and Hochtief, is carrying out slurry wall work using the LSC 8-18 L.
The challenges for this project lie in the large dimensions of the slurry walls and the extremely confined space on the site. The project also demanded low vibration due to the partially historical buildings in the immediate surroundings. In a release, Liebherr says the contractor chose the LSC 8-18 L for its compactness and verticality.
