R. Mike Bivens Named President/CEO as Leadership Transitions
Rembco Geotechnical Contractors has appointed R. Mike Bivens, P.E. as president/CEO, the company announced. Bivens has served as chief engineer since 2012 and is part of the new ownership group transitioning into leadership as Rembco’s past president, Clay Griffin, and vice president, Denise Griffin, prepare for retirement.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BS degree in civil engineering and an MS degree in geotechnical engineering, Bivens is currently pursuing an executive MBA in strategic leadership at UT’s Haslam College of Business. Since joining the company in 2004, Bivens has served as estimator, project manager, engineer and most recently, chief engineer. He lives in Oak Ridge, TN with his wife and two children.
