Helical Piles Protect Florida Home from Extreme Floods
Company says record rains destroyed surrounding homes
Helical piles installed last year saved a home pounded by record rains in the Florida Panhandle from being swept away or destroyed like many of the surrounding homes.
On April 29, 2014, Pensacola, Fla., received 22 inches of rain in about 24 hours — the most they have ever recorded. The resulting extreme flooding wiped out roadways and destroyed entire neighborhoods. After the torrential rains swept through, one home in Gulf Breeze, Fla., that had undergone a remediation project by Alpha Foundation Specialists was able to be salvaged.
