Per usual, New England hosts an action-packed convention.
The New England Water Well Association held its annual convention and exposition March 26-27 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough, Mass. As usual, the action was frenetic - both at the opening-night preview/social and on the trade show floor the next day.
Day one began with two educational programs. Franklin Electric's Jim Hartman covered three-phase motors and 2004 McEllhiney Distinguished Lecturer Henry Baski delivered “Ground Water Fallacies & Forecasts.” That evening, the exhibit hall was opened for a preview of the trade show - a new and welcome feature of the convention. The evening social was billed as taking place in the hotel's ballroom, but that lone venue could not contain the overflow crowd and the festivities flooded into the hotel lobby, its restaurant/bar, several suites, the elevators and much of the parking lot.
